Dog Grooming Parlour

Here at Just Dogs, we offer a high level of grooming and offer various grooming styles and techniques. Established with a wide range of breeds on our records, we offer a vast base of knowledge. Your dog will be in safe hands in a friendly environment, where the atmosphere is calm and relaxed. The dog grooming parlour in Thatcham, near Newbury, Berkshire, is owned and run by me, Julie, I'm a City & Guilds qualified professional dog groomer with over 10 years experience.

From time to time I have students here who are in the process of training to become a fully qualified dog groomer, under ‘Just Dogs’ supervision. They will be training in a practical way on the dogs that come in on a day to day basis. I mention this so that you are fully aware that great care and attention is given to each individual dog by each student. If you are happy with this, please pick up the phone and ask for more details about the grooming/training and make an appointment.

The Opening Times for the Parlour are shown on the left. Our Monday - Friday 8:00am start allows you the opportunity to drop your dog off at the beginning of the day for collection later. If your dog is being groomed on a Saturday then we kindly ask you to drop your dog off no later than 10:00am and collect no later than 3:00pm.

Monday to Thursday: All dogs will be ready for collection between 3.00pm – 4.00pm, unless prior arrangements have been made.

Fridays: Dogs to be collected by 2.00pm unless prior arrangements have been made.

Delays in picking up your dog will incur an extra charge.

We also kindly request that your dog has been walked and exercised and done its business prior to coming into the parlour. We do provide doggy bags if the occasional accident happens.

Just Dogs offer a range of dog grooming services, some are standard and some are additional services that may incur an extra charge. For more information about additional services, please give me a call on 01635 872815

Bathing - using top of the range, hypoallergenic shampoos chosen to compliment your dogs coat.
Conditioning - used on dog with coats that need a little extra help to make it smooth and knot free.
Ear Cleaning - cleaned and plucked if required, depending on the breed.
Nails trimmed - important for the dog's comfort, posture and balance.
De-matting - this is breed specific and will incur an extra charge.
Clipping and Styling - dogs clipped to breed standard if the condition and length of the coat allows.
Hand Stripping - carried out on coats with the right texture. Contact us for more details.
Tidy Up - a 'between grooms' service that includes nails and eyes trimmed plus a bath.

We spend a lot of time with your dog over the months and years. From time to time we might pick up on something that needs a visit to the vets. We keep a record card of your dogs visits and any problems we find we will point out to you with a recommendation.

Your dog and its health and welfare will always be our priority.

Producing an exact Price List is not possible as there are so many factors to take in. So an
exact price will be given once we have seen the dog.
